Tasmanian School Transport Services

Coal River Coaches are a leader in luxury transfers and have been in the travel industry for over 25 years. But our first operation all the way back then will always the local Hobart and surrounding school bus runs.

We are a member of Business Events Tasmania, Destinations Southern Tasmania, the Australian Tourism Export Council, the Port Arthur & Tasman Tourism Association and the Tasmanian Bus Association.

We hold the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program accreditation and a Commercial Visitor Services Licence with Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service.

Smartcards

Board faster, go cashless and track your coach with Coal River Coaches’ new smartcard TransportMe ticketing system.

Students can apply for a TransportMe card for free using our online application form.

Please note that any replacement cards ordered will cost $10.00 each. To make the most of your experience, download the TransportMe Passenger app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone or tablet to recharge your smartcard using Visa or Mastercard, and to access live tracking.

Cards can also be topped up by using cash onboard our buses.
